In 2020, many art galleries closed during the height of the covid-19 pandemic. This limited access to spaces that community once used as a communal hub, as well as a space to explore curated works.
This billboard titled 'Expressions' was Collin's approach to open dialogue with the local community of St. Louis, in their neighborhood. This 4-panel display of portraits was his attempt to offer expressions of rest, hope and positive motion.

“Experiencing this work at the intersection of Kingshighway and St. Louis Ave was monumental. An area that felt rich to my family's local history and community ties.
This work was a collaborative win for the city, but it was especially intended for those who show up every day to bring the local area color. They too deserve to feel seen in ways that reflect rest and power. ”
